Hanoi People's Committee has issued Decision No. 3316/QD-UBND on the multimodal interconnection ticket plan for the public passenger transport system in the city.

The multi-modal ticket scheme in the first phase only applies to subsidized modes of transport such as buses and urban railways (trams). After that, the city will study and expand to other modes such as public bicycles, taxis, etc. and apply to organizations and individuals involved in public passenger transport activities.

For buses, the opening fare is 3,000 VND + 450 VND/km (price based on travel distance) when paying electronically. The 12-month ticket price for one route is 790,000 VND for priority customers, nearly 1.6 million VND for non-priority customers. The 12-month ticket price for multiple routes is nearly 1.6 million VND for priority customers, more than 3.1 million VND for non-priority customers.

For the train, one-way ticket is 8,000 VND + 850 VND/km (depending on travel distance) when paying electronically.

Inter-bus and metro tickets in Hanoi cost 5.6 million VND/year -0
Currently, tickets for the two metro lines Nhon - Hanoi station and Cat Linh - Ha Dong are not yet connected.

Multimodal fares for buses and trains are more than VND2.8 million/12 months (ie VND235,000/month) for customers in the priority group according to the resolution of the Hanoi People's Council; more than VND5.6 million/12 months for customers not in the priority group (ie VND470,000/month).

In the decision, Hanoi requires that intermodal tickets for buses and trains must be priced according to time (day, week, month). However, it does not specify the specific price of each type of ticket by day or week.

According to the Hanoi People's Committee, the application of multimodal interconnection tickets for the subsidized public passenger transport system in the city aims to encourage people to switch to using public passenger transport, contributing to reducing traffic congestion and environmental pollution...

There are two metro lines in commercial operation in Hanoi: Nhon - Hanoi Railway Station and Cat Linh - Ha Dong. However, the ticket cards of these two lines are not yet connected. Passengers traveling on any route will have to buy separate tickets for that route.
