Hurry up and leave school

Although it is summer time, many high schools in Hanoi still organize summer activities for students on a voluntary basis. At around 10am today, many schools informed parents to pick up students early or postpone extracurricular programs and extracurricular activities.

In a notice sent to parents by Nguyen Tuan Kindergarten (Thanh Xuan Ward), the school said that it would support parents in picking up their children early, starting from 3:00 p.m. this afternoon. “Parents can contact staff and teachers for timely support from the school,” the notice said.

Currently, some non-public schools in Hanoi are also preparing for students to participate in summer activities.

Due to the weather, the Board of Directors of Kim Giang Secondary School announced to postpone the rehearsal of the performance to welcome the "Popular Learning Day in Khuong Dinh Ward", pending further notice.

To ensure the safety of lecturers and students, the Department of University Training, Diplomatic Academy announced that all classes in the summer semester on July 21-22 will be switched to online learning. Depending on the development of the storm, the school will announce the learning plan for the following days.

Schools proactively respond to storms

Previously, on July 20, the Thanh Hoa Department of Education and Training issued Official Dispatch No. 2427/SGDĐT-VP requesting affiliated units to urgently deploy measures to respond to storm Wipha.

Accordingly, the Department requires educational institutions to proactively develop plans to protect people and property, especially moving equipment, machinery, and tables and chairs to safe places to minimize damage caused by storms and floods.

Schools are also required to be on duty 24/7, closely monitor weather conditions and coordinate closely with local authorities to promptly handle emergency situations.

The Department of Education and Training of Hai Phong - one of the localities predicted to be where the storm's eye may pass - also informed schools in the area to proactively deploy response plans to the storm, not to be negligent or subjective.

“The locality promptly informs teachers, staff, parents and students to raise vigilance, proactively respond to storm developments, and ensure absolute safety.

Develop bulletins instructing storm prevention skills for students, parents, staff, teachers and employees through digital information systems, radio, bulletin boards and other propaganda channels.

Ensure the safety of schools, students, teachers and facilities. Suspend all student-focused activities during the summer, including summer activities, cultural review, life skills, swimming, extracurricular activities, etc., during the storm and widespread heavy rain.

"Proactively adjust school schedules to ensure absolute safety for students and teachers. The Department of Schools promptly notifies all parents to manage students at home, and prevent travel and gatherings during dangerous weather conditions.

For facilities that organize semi-boarding and boarding, it is necessary to prepare plans to ensure absolute safety for students in all situations," Hai Phong Department of Education and Training noted.
