Hanoi is one of the top five destinations for food lovers with "famous delicacies", according to Booking.

" Hanoi is a culinary paradise with famous delicacies, promising to bring unique dining experiences," Booking commented when announcing 5 destinations considered "precious gems" of Asia- Pacific cuisine on August 17.

Vietnam's capital is mentioned first in the list including Seoul (South Korea), Tokyo (Japan), Singapore and Kaohsiung (Taiwan island).

Hanoi is not only famous for its street food, but also has three Michelin-starred restaurants: Gia, Hibana by Koki and Tam Vi. "Come to Gia for a contemporary Vietnamese menu that changes with the seasons, Hibana by Koki for Japanese cuisine and Tam Vi for traditional Northern dishes, simple but delicious," said a representative of the Netherlands-based booking application.

The names appearing on the list were selected based on the following criteria: famous destinations, easy access for international tourists, rich cuisine and culture, voted by many tourists and experts and having the most positive reviews.

In Seoul, the streets of the central Mapo-gu district are a must-visit for foodies looking to sample traditional Korean cuisine. One of the restaurants recommended by Booking experts is Mapo Mandu Hapjeong, which has an "extensive menu" and "offers mouth-watering flavors that showcase the essence of Korean cuisine."

For those planning a trip to Japan, Homemade Ramen Muginae (homemade ramen) in Tokyo is a suggestion. The restaurant is located modestly on a bustling street but is extremely crowded. Diners often have to wait two hours to be served.

In Singapore, there is no better place than Maxwell Food Centre located in the heart of Chinatown, which "offers diners the most diverse and authentic culinary tastes". Visitors can enjoy many delicious dishes such as Hainanese chicken rice, noodles, roast duck.

Liuhe Night Market is considered a "promised land" for those who want to explore Taiwanese cuisine when coming to Kaohsiung. The market has hundreds of stalls selling street food. "Each dish here has its own interesting story, helping to enrich your trip experience," said Booking .
