Hanoi announces additional benchmark scores for non-specialized grade 10 admission in the 2025-2026 school year

On the afternoon of July 18, Hanoi announced additional benchmark scores for non-specialized grade 10 for the 2025-2026 school year.

Schools announced additional benchmark scores for non-specialized grade 10, in which the admission scores for the first wish (additional round) of Quang Oai High School, Yen Hoa High School, Tan Lap High School, My Duc C High School, Phuc Tho High School, Kim Anh High School, Tung Thien High School, Xuan Khanh High School range from 12.00 to 24.50 points.

Among them is Yen Hoa High School (Cau Giay, Hanoi), a top school in the city that had high admission scores in the first round. However, because this is one of the schools with many students who simultaneously passed their first choice and were admitted to specialized high schools, after the first round of admission, there was still a shortage of enrollment quotas.

According to regulations, after the above schools lower their admission scores, the school will accept students with wishes 1, 2, and 3 who meet the additional admission requirements.

Students admitted to the second (additional) choice must have an admission score 1.0 points higher than the additional standard score. Students admitted to the third (additional) choice must have an admission score 2.0 points higher than the additional standard score.

Registration time from 8:00 a.m. July 19 to 5:00 p.m. July 22, 2025.

In addition, there are 4 high schools Minh Quang, Phuc Loi, Phuc Thinh, Do Muoi (of which Phuc Thinh and Do Muoi are newly established) that recruit students throughout the city who meet the admission requirements but are not admitted to their registered wishes and have an admission score of 12 points or higher (for Minh Quang, Phuc Thinh, and Do Muoi high schools) and 16.50 points or higher (for Phuc Loi).

Minh Quang High School is currently recruiting 63 additional students, Phuc Loi High School is recruiting 103 additional students, and two new schools, Phuc Thinh High School and Do Muoi High School, are each recruiting 450 students.

Students applying to these 4 schools can change their admission wishes before 24:00 on July 22, 2025.

In the 2025-2026 school year, Hanoi will have about 103,000 candidates taking the entrance exam to public high schools, with 64% of candidates passing the entrance exam to public schools.
