On July 31, regarding the enrollment of 10th graders at non-public schools, the officer in charge of building 10th grade enrollment targets of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training said that there are currently 16 non-public schools that have not been assigned enrollment targets for 10th graders for the 2025-2026 school year.

This official said that the HCM City Department of Education and Training has raised the requirements for these schools to make improvements in order to be granted enrollment quotas, but up to now, they have not been completed for the department to issue a decision to assign enrollment quotas for grade 10 for the new school year.

As Thanh Nien reported in early June, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training announced a list of 15 non-public schools that have not been assigned enrollment quotas for grade 10 in the 2025-2026 school year. At the same time, it outlined the requirements for schools to implement in order to be granted quotas.

The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training has just requested these non-public schools to report on the content of the content of the enrollment quota for the first grade classes in the 2025-2026 school year and the following years.

Accordingly, based on the minutes of the meeting with each non-public school on reviewing the student population for the 2025-2026 school year and subsequent years of high schools and multi-level schools (non-public schools), the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training noted that some units had not submitted all required information.

The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training requires units to urgently report on the correction of the contents, along with supporting documents. Schools that do not implement or do not fully implement will not be considered for enrollment targets for the 2025-2026 school year.

Accordingly, depending on the conditions of facilities, teaching staff, etc., the Department of Education and Training allocates enrollment quotas for grade 10 to 64 non-public schools for the 2025-2026 school year.

The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training stipulates that private schools can only be organized and operate at facilities (locations) that have been granted permission by the Department to operate educational activities.
