Hanoi applies digital map to support candidates in finding graduation exam locations

According to the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, in the upcoming high school graduation exam, Hanoi will apply digital maps to support candidates and parents in finding exam locations.

This digital map has interfaces that can locate, route, and give directions to areas on the satellite map.

According to the leader of the Hanoi Departmentof Education and Training, the application will be developed on a mobile platform and allow all candidates and parents to easily identify exam locations and routes to exam locations.

Parents and candidates can view detailed information about the exam site such as specific address, name of the head of the site, deputy head of the site, phone number of the exam site, exam room number...

In addition to supporting parents and candidates in finding directions and exam locations, the application supports the exam steering committee in coordinating and transporting exam papers safely and appropriately.

In the entrance exam for grade 10 public schools in Hanoi, digital maps were used effectively in a pilot test, so they will continue to be widely applied in the upcoming high school graduation exam.

In the 2025 high school graduation exam, Hanoi has nearly 125,000 candidates registered to take the exam. The whole city has over 250 exam sites with more than 5,500 exam rooms (an increase of nearly 50 exam sites and nearly 500 exam rooms compared to 2024).

With the special nature of this year's exam, organizing the exam with the largest number of candidates in the country will be a great pressure for Hanoi.

According to Mr. Tran The Cuong, Director of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, among the 250 testing sites, many have the same name but are junior high or high schools. There are also schools with the same name but located in different districts.

Therefore, if candidates and parents do not check the information carefully, it is easy to confuse exam scores or get lost.

In fact, in previous exams, there were candidates who did not come to check in before the exam day, so they got the wrong exam location and got lost on the exam day.

Some candidates were late to the exam because of this incident and were not allowed to take the exam. This is very unfortunate, so the application of digital maps is one of the remote preventive solutions to limit this situation.
