Ha Nam organizes fire fighting and rescue drills

Kinhtedothi - On the morning of November 8, the People's Committee of Ha Nam province organized a fire fighting and rescue drill at Neweb Company Limited, Dong Van III Industrial Park, Duy Tien town, Ha Nam province.

Speaking at the drill, Comrade Nguyen Duc Vuong - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Ha Nam province emphasized: Fire prevention and rescue work has always been identified by Ha Nam province as one of the key tasks, regularly paying attention to and directing. This drill took place on a large scale, mobilizing a lot of human resources, vehicles and equipment to participate in order to raise awareness and responsibility for fire prevention and rescue, ready to respond to fire, explosion and accident situations at large facilities. At the same time, the drill also helped improve the command and coordination capacity between the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police force and other forces, contributing to ensuring local security and order.

The forces participating in the firefighting and rescue drill urgently practiced the drill plan right after the direction of the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

The hypothetical situation is: at 9:00 a.m. on November 8, an explosion occurred in the warehouse area on the first floor of factory F4, causing the fire to spread to the goods in the warehouse, injuring 70 people who could not move out and were trapped in the areas of the factory, concentrated on the 2nd and 3rd floors of factory F4. Due to the rapid development of the fire, the large amount of heat released deformed the structure of the frames and iron shelves, causing the collapse of shelves containing goods in the F4 factory area and the warehouse on the first floor.

The Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Force of the Provincial Police mobilized officers, soldiers, and vehicles to carry out fire fighting and rescue plans.

After detecting the fire, the Company's on-site fire fighting force deployed fire fighting and rescue operations according to the on-site emergency response procedure. Called the fire alarm and requested rescue, and organized instructions for officers, employees, and residents to escape.

Upon receiving the news, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department of the Provincial Police reported to the Provincial Police leadership to mobilize forces and vehicles to quickly arrive at the scene, deploy fire fighting teams and coordinate rescue operations, quickly and promptly control and extinguish the fire.

The fire fighting and rescue process involved 550 people and 40 vehicles of various types from the Fire Prevention and Fighting Force of Neweb Company, the Fire Prevention and Fighting Team of Dong Van Industrial Park, Duy Tien Town Police, police departments of the Provincial Police; Provincial Military Command; health; electricity; Fire Prevention and Fighting and Rescue Police of Nam Dinh , Hung Yen provinces, etc.

Comrade Nguyen Duc Vuong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, presented Certificates of Merit from the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee to outstanding collectives and individuals in advising and implementing the exercise.

Colonel Pham Hung Duong - Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, Deputy Director of the Provincial Police Department awarded Certificates of Merit to outstanding collectives and individuals in advising and implementing the exercise.

According to the Organizing Committee's assessment, the units and forces participating in the exercise have promoted a sense of responsibility and completed their assigned tasks well, meeting the requirements of time, technique and tactics.

At the end of the drill, 50 groups and individuals with outstanding achievements in the drill were awarded by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and the Director of the Provincial Police.
