Nguyen Viet Gia Han made history at the Hanoi Open Golf Tournament - BIDV Cup 2025 when she became the first female golfer to win the Professional division after a dramatic play-off at Corn Hill (Long Bien).

On April 22, the Hanoi Open Golf Championship - BIDV Cup 2025 witnessed an exciting and dramatic competition between golfers in the professional bracket. This event is part of the VGA Development Tour system, which brings together top professional athletes and young talents on their journey to make a name for themselves in the Vietnamese golf community.

After 18 holes, the championship race became breathless when Nguyen Viet Gia Han, Park Jung Min and Tran Tien Dung all finished the round with 75 strokes (+3). The three golfers were forced to enter a play-off to determine the winner.

At hole 1D, where the decisive play-off took place, Nguyen Viet Gia Han played with courage and precision to score par, while her two opponents could not do the same. Thereby, Gia Han was officially crowned and became the first female golfer in history to win in the Professional category of the Hanoi Open.

Nguyen Viet Gia Han's victory is not only a memorable milestone in her personal career, but also has special significance as it opens up many inspirations for the young generation of female golfers - those who are pursuing their journey with golf.

On the competition day of April 21, the title of Women's Amateur Champion of the 2025 Hanoi Open Golf Tournament belonged to golfer Le Thi Thuy - who excellently surpassed more than 100 opponents with a total score of 78 strokes. This victory is not only a worthy reward for Le Thi Thuy's efforts and outstanding technique, but also a brilliant highlight to open this year's tournament.

The Hanoi Open Golf Tournament - BIDV Cup 2025 will continue with the Men's Amateur content until April 23 at Long Bien Golf Course, gathering more than 100 golfers from Hanoi and other provinces and cities.
