Power Project Management Board 1 said that package 1 of the 500kV Lao Cai - Vinh Yen transmission line project has completed excavation and foundation casting at all locations.

Package No. 1 of the 500kV Lao Cai - Vinh Yen transmission line project is implemented by the joint venture of Song Da Construction and Services Joint Stock Company - PC1 Group Joint Stock Company - Dong Anh Steel Pole Manufacturing Co., Ltd.

The foundation positions were constructed early, creating convenience for the contractor to proceed with the erection of steel columns.

Package 1 of the project includes 51 pole locations (from VT1 - VT52), passing through Bao Yen and Bao Thang districts. The locations span steep hills, narrow roads, and many locations are inaccessible by motor vehicles. In addition, this year's weather has been erratic, with the rainy season coming early, affecting the transportation of materials and equipment.

To ensure the construction progress as required, the joint venture contractor has proactively developed a multi-layer construction plan, organizing different independent construction teams. Workers are arranged to eat and rest near the construction site, minimizing travel time.

Not only taking the lead in foundation pit construction, package 1 is also the place to erect the first columns on the construction site of the entire 500kV Lao Cai - Vinh Yen transmission line at locations VT42, VT28...

Package No. 1 is also the package for construction and installation of the first steel columns along the entire route.

The leader of Power Project Management Board 1 said that package 1 is in the group of 10 mixed packages of the 500kV Lao Cai - Vinh Yen transmission line project, officially implemented from March 10, 2025. To date, all excavation and foundation work of this package has been completed after less than 3 months of construction.

With the current progress, the joint venture contractor for package 1 will have time to proactively carry out the next steps of erecting poles and pulling wires to ensure the critical path progress according to the plan.

The 500kV Lao Cai - Vinh Yen transmission line project has 468 pole positions, passing through 4 provinces: Lao Cai, Yen Bai, Phu Tho and Vinh Phuc , with the starting point being the 500kV Lao Cai station, the ending point being the 500kV Vinh Yen station. The project has a total investment of more than 7,410 billion VND. The section passing through Lao Cai province has 98 pole positions belonging to 2 bidding packages.
