The film “Wind Across the Blue Sky” produced by Vietnam Television Film Production Center (VFC) was copyrighted from the Chinese film “30 is not yet the end”.
The film tells the story of three modern women: My Anh, Truc Lam and Chau Ngan. My Anh used to have her own career but stepped back to support her husband Dang's (Doan Quoc Dam) career. Truc Lam also married Toan, a kind, quiet but practical and sincere man. Chau Ngan is single and always believes in her ability to control her life and bring happiness to herself without needing a man.

However, every woman encounters events in life, those gaps make them reflect on the meaning of happiness, the true values of life, what they really need...
The film features many famous artists such as Doan Quoc Dam, To Dung, Viet Hoa, Quynh Nguyen, Ha Thanh, Meritorious Artist Duc Khue, artist Tu Oanh, baby Gia Nghia, especially the return of actress Phuong Oanh after many years of absence from the film set, and the participation of Dennis Dang for the first time as an actor in a TV series produced by VFC.

The most noticeable highlight of the film is the beautiful and typical images of Vietnamese life. An old apartment complex, with a common yard that contains many public and private activities of the community. Gossipy and sarcastic neighbors competing for public space. A sidewalk breakfast stall with a steaming pot of steamed buns. A small, pretty apartment of a young couple with a naughty cat. The “one-shot” style camera shots bring frames that are more cinematic than TV dramas, and the images are therefore more narrative.

However, what attracted the most attention from the audience was the transformation of the three actresses Phuong Oanh, Viet Hoa and Quynh Nguyen into the roles of My Anh, Truc Lam and Chau Ngan. As three talented actresses of VFC, the actors made an effort to "redraw" and breathe life into their characters, creating their own position and vitality.
With Phuong Oanh, after a period of absence from the small screen to take care of her small family, experiencing many changes in her personal life, her acting has become more calm and mature. Phuong Oanh plays a 35-year-old woman who wakes up every morning with a list of things to do and goals to conquer, always having a strong belief that no matter how good today is, it is just a draft of a better tomorrow. She shared that after many ups and downs, she has accumulated enough "capital" in life to bring the audience a vivid image of My Anh, closest to the model of Vietnamese women.

However, Phuong Oanh's role as My Anh also caused a lot of controversy when some viewers commented that Phuong Oanh did not show enough depth, wisdom and courage of the character when recognizing and dealing with problems in life, especially problems related to Dang, her husband.
In Viet Hoa, the audience can see the actress’s efforts in portraying a skillful, confident Chau Ngan who knows how to take advantage of opportunities. Viet Hoa has shown a youthful and vibrant Chau Ngan after the usual shrewd, sharp and calculating roles…

For Quynh Nguyen, her character Truc Lam made Quynh Nguyen "hated by association" right from the first episodes. Truc Lam had a family, but still kept her innocent and naive nature to the point of selfishness, not caring about the difficulties of the family, along with the image of her husband having to take care of everything to the point of harshness. The acting of Quynh Nguyen and To Dung made Truc Lam and Toan the two most hated characters in the film in the first episodes.
“The Wind Across the Blue Sky” was purchased as a remake of the famous and much-loved Chinese film “30 is not the end yet”. The original film also impressed with the excellent acting of the three main actresses, Mao Xiaotong, Jiang Shuying and Tong Yao.

Therefore, before it aired, the film received great attention from the audience, even comparisons with the original. However, it can be seen that, right from the first episodes, the film brought to the audience images, life and typical personalities of Vietnamese people.
As the filmmakers affirmed, a remake film is not a copy of a successful film from another country, but rather takes the plot and builds an independent life for the film, so that the film can approach the audience in the most intimate and gentle way. That is also the reason why "Gio ngang khoang troi xanh" has received the expectation of a large audience during this time.
