The Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City has just announced to schools about the regulations on paying Tet gifts to teachers according to the regulations of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee.

On January 15, the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City announced to schools about spending Tet gifts for teachers according to the regulations of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee on organizing activities and funding for Tet At Ty 2025.
Accordingly, based on Official Dispatch No. 237/STC-HCSN dated January 10, 2025 of the Department of Finance on guidance on funding sources to implement the plan to care for Tet At Ty in 2025, the Department of Education and Training deployed to schools the implementation of spending Tet gifts for teachers, cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers at the unit at a spending level of VND 1,800,000/person.
Ho Chi Minh City regulates the funding source for Tet gifts for teachers as follows: For public service units, regular expenses are self-sufficient, public service units are self-sufficient in part of regular expenses, self-balancing from autonomously allocated funding sources, and unit revenue to pay for gifts.
For administrative agencies and public service units whose regular expenditures are guaranteed by the State, the city budget shall supplement the budget estimate to spend on Tet gifts for cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers of the unit.
In the immediate future, the Department of Education and Training requires schools to spend Tet gifts on cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers from the budget allocated in the 2025 budget. At the same time, units have written requests to supplement the 2025 budget.
