>> Answers to the 2025 High School Graduation Physics Exam, all exam codes
Mr. Le Van Trung, a teacher specializing in exam preparation in Hanoi , assessed that this year's high school graduation exam in Physics was quite suitable for students, predicting that many exams would score 9 and there would likely be "a lot of 10s".
The Physics graduation exam consists of 28 objective multiple-choice questions with 40 questions; to be completed in 50 minutes, divided into 3 parts: Part I consists of 18 four-choice multiple-choice questions; Part II consists of 4 true-false multiple-choice questions (each question has 4 questions); Part III consists of 6 short-answer multiple-choice questions.
The test content closely follows the requirements of the new generaleducation program in Physics, mainly from the 12th grade program, and a small part of the knowledge from the 11th grade program.
The ratio of questions according to the thinking level of Knowing/Understanding/Applying is about 40% - 30% - 30%, focusing on assessing 3 abilities: Physics perception; Understanding the natural world from a Physics perspective; Applying learned knowledge and skills.

Teachers of the HOCMAI system said that the difference of this year's Physics high school graduation exam compared to previous years is not only in the exam structure and new question formats (true or false questions and short answer questions) but mainly in the content and the way of asking questions following the trend of linking Physics knowledge with meaningful contexts, creating practical situations and rich educational values: Life context (Photos, practical applications, meaningful questions); Scientific context (Experiments, with models, data).
Specifically, questions 3, 4, 5, 6 of part III (short answer test), code 0220, the context is related to real-life applications, questions 3 and 4 integrate content related to the field of Chemistry. The questions are intentionally designed to accurately assess students' reasoning and problem-solving abilities.
Questions 3 and 4, Part II (True or False) of test code 0220 are set in the context of experimental models in the topics of Magnetic Fields and Thermal Physics. To understand measuring devices and phenomenon models, students are required to read, understand and process scientific data like an experimenter.
In addition, the exam has some questions integrating knowledge of grade 11 (question 1 of part II integrates knowledge about Waves), requiring students to know how to apply basic knowledge in lower grades to analyze phenomena and solve situations in questions with contexts of grade 12 knowledge. This approach shows the assessment orientation according to the content of the new program.
A notable new point in this year’s high school graduation exam is the cluster question format – a text accompanied by 2 component questions. For example, cluster questions 2,3 and cluster questions 4,5 of part III, code 0220, consecutive questions revolve around the same topic to help assess the ability to think in a chain: From understanding the context → identifying phenomena → performing calculations → explaining or comparing results.
This year’s high school graduation exam for Physics clearly shows a change in assessment thinking in general education. This is an important basis to help students and teachers adjust their teaching and learning methods in a positive, proactive direction, enhancing application and practice factors.
Ms. Nguyen Bich Ngoc, a Physics teacher in Hanoi, commented that this year's exam had a clear structure with reasonable divisions, ensuring the amount of knowledge was appropriate to the curriculum. In addition, the exam showed a good differentiation between cognitive levels, from basic to advanced knowledge, thereby creating conditions for all candidates to have the opportunity to demonstrate their abilities.
The common score is around 7 - 8 points, many are 9 points and the rate of candidates scoring 10 points or higher is expected to be higher than last year.
