Make in Viet Nam 2024 Award is expected to take place on December 30, 2024

(CLO) The jury and subcommittees of the Make in Vietnam Digital Technology Award 2024 have just held their first meeting.

The “Make in Viet Nam Digital Technology Product” Award (Make in Viet Nam Award) is a prestigious award in the field of information technology and communications, awarded annually to Vietnamese organizations and enterprises with outstanding digital technology products. 2024 is the 5th year the award has been held.

At the first meeting of the Jury and subcommittees of the Make in Vietnam Award, the representative of the standing agency of the Award, Mr. Nguyen Khac Lich, Director of the Department of Information Technology and Communications Industry ( Ministry of Information and Communications ), said that this year's Award will seek to honor outstanding digital technology products, bringing pride to Vietnamese intelligence.

The award also honors products that create new momentum for economic growth, create national competitive advantages and increase labor productivity, create practical and comprehensive results, bring value to people and businesses in digital transformation, develop the digital economy for industries, socio-economic fields and new digital technology products.

In addition, the Award also honors Vietnamese digital technology products that conquer the world, contribute to the development of humanity and bring prosperity to Vietnam.

At the meeting, the standing body also announced the decision to establish 8 subcommittees of the Jury, corresponding to 8 categories of the Make in Vietnam Award 2024. From now until December 17, the subcommittees will organize the preliminary round of scoring, selecting 12 applications with the highest scores in each award category.

The 12 products with the highest scores in each category will present and defend their designs before the subcommittees of the Council before entering the final round. The award ceremony is scheduled to take place on December 30, 2024.

As of October 22, 2024, the Make in Vietnam Award has recorded a total of 257 applications. Through the review process, a total of 183 applications met the criteria set by the Award.

According to Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tuyen, Deputy Director of the Department of Information Technology and Communications Industry (Ministry of Information and Communications), many products that won the Make in Vietnam Award were later honored at domestic and international competitions.

At the 4th ASEAN Digital Ministers Meeting recently held in Singapore, Vietnam's online education platform ICANKid won the gold award at the ASEAN Digital Awards 2024 in the Digital Content category. VinBrain's DrAid product won the gold award in the Digital Innovation category. Digital Agriculture platform mobiAgri won the silver award in the Digital Inclusion category.
