Dissolution and termination of activities of industry unions and equivalents

- On the morning of June 25, the Provincial Federation of Labor (FFL) Executive Committee held the 7th Conference (term XVII) to summarize union work in the first 6 months of the year, key tasks for the last 6 months of 2025; announced the decision to end union activities at the grassroots level.

In the first 6 months of the year, trade unions at all levels in the province competed to closely follow the leadership of the Provincial Party Committee and the direction of the General Confederation of Labor. The activities of the provincial trade unions achieved many outstanding results: Giving and supporting union members and workers with cash and in kind with a total value of over 14.7 billion VND; trade unions at the grassroots level directly donated 1,356 gifts; from the "Union Shelter" Fund, support was given to build and repair houses for 15 families of union members and workers in difficult circumstances with a total value of over 610 million VND; trade unions at the grassroots level directly organized and coordinated the organization of sports festivals, soccer tournaments, pickleball tournaments... with more than 3,100 athletes participating...

In the last 6 months of the year, the Provincial Federation of Labor will continue to reorganize the apparatus and staff according to the Project on reorganizing and streamlining the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations; effectively carry out activities to care for the lives of union members and workers; focus on developing grassroots union members; issue and implement plans to organize grassroots union congresses and provincial trade union congresses for the 2026-2031 term...

The leaders of the Provincial Federation of Labor awarded Certificates of Merit to the collective with achievements in organizing activities of Workers' Month in 2025.

On this occasion, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor awarded the Medal "For the cause of building the Vietnam Trade Union" to 116 comrades who are leaders and officials of the provincial Trade Union; the Provincial Confederation of Labor awarded Certificates of Merit to 15 collectives and 17 individuals with achievements in organizing activities of the Workers' Month in 2025.

The Provincial Federation of Labor leaders presented the decision to end the activities of the Trade Union at the level directly above the grassroots level.

The conference also announced the decisions to end the activities of trade unions at the level directly above the grassroots level. Accordingly, the dissolution and termination of the activities of industry trade unions and equivalents include: the Confederation of Labor of districts, cities, the Provincial Party Bloc Trade Union, the Provincial Government Bloc Trade Union, the Provincial Industrial Zone Trade Union and the grassroots trade unions of government agencies and public service units receiving 100% of their salaries from the State budget; transferring grassroots trade unions that are not subject to termination of activities to the Provincial Confederation of Labor for direct management and direction of activities; dissolving and terminating the activities of the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, and Inspection Committee of 10 trade unions at the level directly above the grassroots level and 709 grassroots trade unions of administrative agencies and public service units receiving 100% of their salaries from the State budget with 23,225 union members; transferring 173 grassroots trade unions with 26,694 union members that are not subject to termination of activities to the Provincial Confederation of Labor for direct management and direction of activities.
