RON95-III gasoline price continues to increase by nearly 300 VND/liter this afternoon

The Ministry of Industry and Trade has just issued an urgent document to key traders and distributors regarding the management of domestic gasoline retail prices. Notably, this is the fifth consecutive increase in E5 RON92 and RON95-III gasoline.

Accordingly, from 3:00 p.m. today (June 19), the ceiling price of E5RON92 gasoline is 20,911 VND/liter, an increase of 280 VND/liter compared to the current price; the new price of RON95-III gasoline is 21,507 VND/liter, an increase of 263 VND/liter compared to the current price.

During this period, diesel increased by 551 VND/liter, to 19,707 VND/liter; kerosene increased by 494 VND/liter, the new price is 19,417 VND/liter. Mazut oil alone decreased by 374 VND, to 17,269 VND/kg.

Along with that, the Ministry of Industry and Trade requested not to set aside and not to use the Price Stabilization Fund for petroleum products. As for the Vietnam National Petroleum Group (Petrolimex), as of the time before the price adjustment, the balance of the Price Stabilization Fund (BOG) at the enterprise was 3,083 billion VND, remaining stable compared to the most recent announcement period.

In the most recent adjustment (June 19), domestic gasoline prices increased sharply. Specifically, E5 RON92 gasoline increased by VND1,169/liter; RON95-III gasoline increased by VND1,277/liter; diesel increased by VND1,456/liter; kerosene increased by VND1,412/liter and fuel oil increased by VND1,182/kg.

According to Decree No. 80/2023/ND-CP amending and supplementing a number of articles of Decree No. 95/2021/ND-CP dated November 1, 2021 and Decree No. 83/2014/ND-CP dated September 3, 2014 of the Government on petroleum trading, the period of petroleum price management will be shortened from 10 days to 7 days, implemented every Thursday.

In case the price management period coincides with a holiday according to regulations, it will be implemented as follows: If Thursday coincides with the first day of the holiday, the petrol price management period will be implemented on the previous Wednesday. If Thursday coincides with the remaining holidays, the petrol price management period will be implemented on the first working day after the holiday.
