Recorded on Oilprice at 4:30 a.m. on June 9, 2025 (Vietnam time), Brent oil price was at 66.65 USD/barrel, up 1.73% (equivalent to an increase of 1.13 USD/barrel).

Similarly, WTI oil price was at 64.77 USD/barrel, up 1.91% (equivalent to an increase of 1.21 USD/barrel).

Last week, oil prices recorded 4 sessions of increase and 1 session of decrease. This shows that the oil market is entering a cautious recovery phase, as expectations for global economic growth are raised thanks to positive signals from the US and China. However, geopolitical variables and OPEC+ supply strategy will continue to create large fluctuations in the coming time.
A weaker dollar makes dollar-denominated commodities like oil cheaper for buyers using other currencies, boosting demand in oil-importing countries and potentially supporting oil prices in the short term.
In addition, the forest fire in Alberta province - Canada's largest crude oil production center - also strongly affected the supply, causing output to decrease by about 7% per day.

Domestic gasoline prices today June 9, 2025
Domestic retail gasoline prices on June 9, 2025 will be applied according to the adjustment session from 3:00 p.m. on June 5 by the Ministry of Finance - Ministry of Industry and Trade.

Diesel 0.05S price: Up 284 VND/liter, at 17,420 VND/liter; kerosene up 176 VND/liter, at 17,284 VND/liter; fuel oil 180CST 3.5S down 86 VND/kg, down to 16,178 VND/kg.

In this management period, the Ministry of Industry and Trade - Ministry of Finance did not set aside or use the Petroleum Price Stabilization Fund for E5RON92 gasoline, RON95 gasoline, diesel oil, kerosene, and mazut oil.
Thus, from the beginning of 2025 to now, domestic gasoline prices have undergone 23 adjustment sessions, including 9 decrease sessions, 9 increase sessions and 5 opposite sessions.
