Gold price today July 25: Gold bars are nearly 15 million VND more expensive than the world price

Domestic gold prices remained stable despite the world continuing to decline as tariff negotiations reached the final stage.

On the morning of July 25, the world gold price continued to decrease to 3,370.7 USD/ounce, nearly 20 USD lower than yesterday. Converted according to Vietcombank exchange rate, the world gold price is equivalent to 107 million VND/tael (excluding taxes and fees).

Domestically, gold bars at Saigon Jewelry Company - SJC are kept at the same buying price of 19.7 million VND and selling price of 121.7 million VND as at the end of yesterday. Currently, each tael of SJC gold bar is 14.7 million VND more expensive than the world price .

Similarly, the price of 4-number-9 gold rings at SJC also remained unchanged, still buying at 115 million VND and selling at 117.5 million VND; Phu Nhuan Jewelry Company (PNJ) bought at 116 million VND and sold at 118.8 million VND; Doji Group bought at 116.5 million VND and sold at 119 million VND...

Precious metals fell as tariff negotiations between the US and many countries entered the final stage. Most recently, the high-level trade talks between South Korea and the US, scheduled to take place this weekend in Washington, were postponed due to the unexpected schedule of US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent. The meeting was considered an important step before Washington's deadline for imposing new tariffs on August 1. Speaking at a press conference on July 24, South Korean Foreign Ministry spokesman Kang Young Kyu emphasized that the US side hopes to be able to re-organize meetings between the two countries' leaders as soon as possible.

At the Artificial Intelligence (AI) Summit in Washington on July 23, President Donald Trump announced that he would implement transparent and simple tariffs ranging from 15% to 50%. Regarding the highest tariff, he explained: "Some countries will have to pay 50% because our relationship is not going smoothly." This move also reflects Washington's increasing pressure on countries that have not completed trade negotiations./.
