Some pepper industry experts assess that current signals show that pepper prices are likely to remain high next week, fluctuating between VND139,000 - 141,000/kg. In a positive scenario, when exports improve and domestic supply dries up, pepper prices could increase by VND1,000 - 2,000/kg, especially in key areas such as Dak Lak and Lam Dong.
However, the market still has some potential risks such as the recovery of pepper prices in Brazil and Indonesia or the difficulties in Vietnam's exports due to the unclear VAT refund policy. This could create pressure causing prices to stagnate or adjust slightly in the short term.
