In Lam Dong province, coffee prices decreased by VND1,000/kg compared to yesterday and are at VND92,300/kg.
Since May 2025, coffee prices have fallen sharply, losing more than 30% of their value. However, Vietnam's coffee exports have continued to set records in terms of turnover.
Mr. Nguyen Nam Hai, Chairman of the Vietnam Coffee and Cocoa Association (VICOFA), said the main reason was the high export prices in the first months of the year, especially in February and March. In February, the price of Robusta coffee futures for May delivery exceeded the mark of 5,800 USD/ton.
Even as coffee prices began to fall sharply in May, exports continued to soar. Specifically, Vietnam exported 170,963 tons in May and 123,623 tons in June, with unit prices still above $5,000 per ton. As a result, export turnover remained high.
In the nine months of the 2024–2025 crop year, Vietnam exported about 1.25 million tons of coffee, earning more than $7 billion. Compared to the same period last year, output decreased by 1.8%, but value increased by 59.6%. However, in the final months of the season, exports are expected to slow down due to a sharp drop in coffee prices.

Update on world pepper prices from the International Pepper Community (IPC) at 5:00 a.m. on July 11, 2025 as follows: the market in Indonesia decreased slightly compared to yesterday's trading session; markets in other countries were stable and sideways.
Specifically, IPC listed the price of Indonesian Lampung black pepper at 7,539 USD/ton; similarly, Muntok white pepper is currently purchased at 10,184 USD/ton.
The Malaysian pepper market continues to remain stable, currently the price of Malaysian ASTA black pepper is purchased at 8,900 USD/ton and the price of ASTA white pepper is at 11,750 USD/ton.
Pepper prices in Brazil have stabilized after the previous increase, with the current purchase price reaching 6,225 USD/ton.
Vietnam's pepper export market has stabilized and remained unchanged compared to many previous increases. Currently, the export price of Vietnamese black pepper is at 6,440 USD/ton for 500 g/l; 550 g/l is at 6,570 USD/ton and the price of white pepper is at 9,150 USD/ton.
Domestic pepper prices continued to stabilize today after a sharp increase at the beginning of the month. In key raw material areas, purchasing prices ranged from VND140,000 to VND142,000 per kilogram. This is the highest level in more than a year, showing that supply is scarce while export demand remains stable.
According to purchasing businesses, the sharp increase in pepper prices in the first week of July was mainly due to the imbalance between supply and demand. Vietnam has basically completed the harvest, so the amount of pepper left for the people is not much. Meanwhile, many large markets such as the Middle East, India, the US and Europe increased imports to prepare for year-end demand and to prevent shortages from Indonesia.
Currently, many export enterprises are temporarily suspending signing new contracts to monitor world price fluctuations and sales strategies from major producing countries. This has caused purchasing demand to stagnate, causing domestic pepper prices to remain high, with no new upward trend yet to appear.
In the short term, pepper prices are forecast to continue to fluctuate around VND140,000 - 142,000/kg, while the market awaits clearer signals from global supply. If exports from Indonesia and Brazil continue to be limited or demand from China recovers strongly, Vietnamese pepper prices may have room to increase. Conversely, if supplies from competitors are more abundant, the market will tend to adjust downward to find a more suitable price.
