Gia Han maintains top position in the women's table after round 2 of the 2024 National Golf Championship

Today (August 15), the athletes entered the second day of competition at the 2024 National Golf Championship, Vinfast Cup - Hai Phong. With favorable weather conditions, cool in the morning, a few minutes of rain in the afternoon, the athletes had a good day of competition and achieved better results than Round 1.

After 2 rounds, the Organizing Committee has a list of athletes who passed the cut and will continue to compete in rounds 3 and 4. Athlete Doan Uy has just made a comeback from 5th place to top the Men's Group after round 2. Athlete Nguyen Viet Gia Han maintains the top position in the Women's Group.

In the Men's Group, after a day of good performance, athlete Doan Uy excellently surpassed his opponents to lead the Men's Ranking with a total score of (-3) after 2 days. Starting at hole 10, Doan Uy had an unlucky start with a Bogey point. However, he then reaped 6 birdies at holes 11, 14, 17, 1, 5 and 9. Thereby ending the second day of competition with a score of (-5) strokes. In addition, the top 5 of the Men's Ranking had many changes after 2 rounds, the ranking order is as follows: Ranked 2 is Nguyen Tuan Anh with a result of (-2) strokes. Ranked 3rd and 4th are: Nguyen Duc Son (-1), Pham The Nam (E). Athletes Doan Van Dinh, Dao Van Hoan and Tang Nhon Phu ranked 5th with a score of (+4).

In the Women's category, athlete Nguyen Viet Gia Han continuously maintained the top position with a score of (-4) strokes after 2 days of competition. In round 2, Gia Han scored (-2) strokes, including 4 birdies and 2 bogeys.

Behind Nguyen Viet Gia Han are 2 athletes with results (+2) strokes, namely: Le Chuc An and Ngo Vinh Hoa. In the 5th place, Nguyen Thao My and Doan Xuan Khue Minh both have results (+5). After the 2nd round, the Organizing Committee found the 50 male athletes and 12 female athletes with the best results through the cut and won the right to compete in the 3rd round. Nguyen Phuong Quynh is the youngest athlete through the cut of the tournament. The 12-year-old athlete - Nguyen Phuong Quynh had a round (+13) through 2 rounds.

Tomorrow (August 16), 62 athletes who passed the qualifying round will compete in round 3 of the 2024 National Golf Championship Vinfast Cup - Hai Phong at Vinpearl Golf Hai Phong.
