Domestic coffee prices today
Domestic coffee prices today, July 21, in the Central Highlands region remained unchanged, fluctuating between 93,500 - 94,000 VND/kg.
Accordingly, traders in Lam Dong province are purchasing coffee at 94,000 VND/kg. No change compared to yesterday.
Similarly, coffee prices in Dak Lak province are at VND93,800/kg, unchanged from yesterday.
Coffee prices in Gia Lai province remained unchanged from yesterday and were traded at VND93,800/kg.
In Lam Dong province, in Ward 1, Bao Loc, Hoa Ninh, Duc Trong, and Dinh Van Lam Ha communes, coffee prices remained unchanged compared to yesterday at VND93,500/kg.

At the end of last week, coffee prices in the Central Highlands region increased sharply from 3,400 to 3,700 VND/kg compared to the previous week. Specifically, coffee prices in Lam Dong (Dak Nong) increased by 3,700 VND/kg last week.
In Dak Lak and Gia Lai, coffee prices increased by VND3,500/kg and VND3,600/kg respectively. Meanwhile, Lam Dong was the locality with the strongest price increase of VND4,000/kg.
In the Vietnamese market, domestic coffee prices are currently 7,000 VND/kg higher than the world coffee futures price for September 2025 on the London floor. This difference shows that domestic purchasing demand is increasing, especially from businesses that urgently need goods to deliver according to contracts.
A large amount of coffee, about 200,000 tons, is being held by foreign-invested companies (FDI). These companies have strong financial potential and can hoard goods waiting for high prices, limiting supply in the market.
This poses a major challenge for domestic exporters: if there is not enough coffee left to deliver, they may be forced to buy back from FDI companies at higher prices. This will reduce profit margins and directly affect their competitiveness in the international market.
World coffee prices today
On the London exchange, the online price of Robusta coffee futures for September 2025 delivery closed last week at $3,348/ton, up 4.1% ($132/ton) from the previous week. The November 2025 futures contract rose 4.7% ($150/ton) to $3,322/ton.
On the New York Mercantile Exchange, the price of Arabica coffee for September 2025 delivery increased by 6% (17.1 US cents/pound) last week to 303.6 US cents/pound. The November 2025 futures contract increased by 5.5% (15.5 US cents/pound) to 295.95 US cents/pound.
According to Reuters, coffee prices have increased sharply in the past week after the US announced plans to impose a 50% tariff on all imports from Brazil, starting August 1. This is a move that has shocked the market, because Brazil is the world's largest coffee exporter, and about a third of the coffee consumed in the US comes from this country.
If the tariffs are implemented, the flow of coffee from Brazil to the US will be virtually disrupted. Brazilian broker Thiago Cazarini said that in the current situation, continuing to buy coffee for export to the US is almost impossible due to the high risk, especially without specific instructions from the government or regulatory agencies.
