Coffee prices in June and July 2025 are forecast to continue to fluctuate. Geopolitical tensions in the Middle East, especially after Israel’s attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities, are raising concerns about the possibility of disruptions in shipping through the Strait of Hormuz. The risk of supply chain disruptions due to the resurgence of the Houthi group could also push up logistics costs, directly affecting export coffee prices.
In addition, investors are also closely monitoring developments at the G7 Summit and the policies of major central banks in the world such as the Fed, BOJ, BOE and PBOC. Keeping interest rates unchanged in key economies will contribute to orienting global financial trends and may indirectly impact commodity markets, including coffee.
In addition, the European Union Deforestation Reduction Regulation (EUDR) has been extended to December 30, 2025. This will have a strong impact on agricultural products, including coffee, as requirements for traceability and supply chain transparency are tightened. The 12-month extension gives businesses and farmers more time to prepare, but also places more stringent requirements on year-end export activities.
