Garmin brings Asian-scale running tournament to Vietnam

Garmin Run Vietnam 2025 brings together more than 6,000 runners of all levels in Asia, where every individual has the opportunity to break their own limits.

Garmin, a pioneer in the field of sports and health smartwatches, officially announced that Garmin Run Asia Series 2025 will set its next footprint in Ho Chi Minh City, scheduled to take place on October 4-5.

As one of the 10 important stops of the Asia-wide running series, Garmin Run Vietnam is not only a gathering place for thousands of runners, but also a declaration of healthy living, connecting the Vietnamese sports community with a network of dynamic athletes across Asia.

From first run to personal peak

Following the great success of Longbien Garmin Run in Hanoi in 2024, Garmin officially brings the Asian running tournament back to Vietnam with the next destination being Ho Chi Minh City. Garmin Run Vietnam 2025 is not simply a competition, but a journey to spread the spirit of sports throughout the region - where every athlete, from beginners to elite runners - can reach a better version of themselves, true to the spirit of "from Zero to Hero" and "Beat Yesterday" that Garmin steadfastly pursues.

The event is expected to attract more than 6,000 runners, competing in 3 main distances: 5K, 10K and 21K. This year, the race will feature the Couple Run category for the first time - creating more opportunities for runners to share their passion for running with their relatives and friends in a more intimate and exciting way than ever before. In particular, the race will be organized by a leading prestigious unit in the field of sports, ensuring a complete, safe and inspiring experience for each participant.

Longbien Garmin Run 2024 attracted thousands of runners and left many special impressions.

Alongside the running track, Garmin will set up a technology experience zone where attendees can explore the latest Garmin watches, interact with Garmin Elite and top running figures, and immerse themselves in an inspiring sports atmosphere.

Total prizes are up to tens of millions of VND - including First prize up to 10 million VND (21KM) and many technology gifts from Garmin for all competition categories.

Designed in sync between countries, the medals with sophisticated designs, with the coordinates of the race locations in each country, promise to be a highlight this year.

Vietnam – an indispensable piece of Garmin Run Asia Series

Garmin Run 2025 in Ho Chi Minh City is the race representing Vietnam - one of 10 mandatory destinations in the journey to conquer Garmin Run Asia Series. Since 2023, with only 3 starting countries, Garmin Run has quickly expanded its scale, gathering 10 key countries and territories including: Vietnam, Indonesia, Taiwan, Singapore, Korea, Philippines, Malaysia, Thailand, Hong Kong and Japan, expected to welcome more than 110,000 athletes across the region to participate in the event series - a testament to the increasingly strong and united sports spirit in Asia.

Garmin will also host the Garmin Asia Virtual Run from June to August, covering two distances of 10K and 21K, completely free on the Garmin Sports App. Participants can record real-world results, earn virtual medals, access in-depth training plans and join the runner community across the region.

Garmin organizes many pre-race activities to help runners improve their skills and physical fitness.

In Vietnam, Garmin will organize training sessions with Garmin Run Club in Hanoi - Da Nang - Ho Chi Minh City with online training programs customized according to distance and level, helping participants prepare best before the race day.
