Nearly 2,300 students participate in the 2025 National High School Sports Tournament

VHO - On the afternoon of June 10, in Hue city, the Ministry of Education and Training coordinated with the Hue City People's Committee to open the 2025 National High School Sports Tournament. Nearly 2,300 students from across the country competed in 5 events.

The 2025 National High School Sports Tournament takes place from June 9 to June 18, for students aged 18 and under studying ateducational institutions nationwide.

Nearly 2,300 students at primary, secondary, high school levels, and continuing education students from 53 provinces and cities will compete for 186 sets of medals in 5 sports: football, basketball, athletics, swimming, and Vovinam.

The 2025 National High School Sports Tournament aims to promote the campaign "All people exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho"; enhance exchanges, share experiences and improve health, develop physical fitness, contributing to comprehensive education for students.

This activity also aims to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the education sector's tradition and to discover and nurture national representatives to attend the 2025 Southeast Asian School Sports Festival to be held in Brunei.

Mr. Hoang Duc Minh, Director of the Department of Students - Ministry of Education and Training , Head of the Organizing Committee of the Tournament, said: School sports activities not only contribute to improving health but also train willpower, discipline, and team spirit. From there, contributing to forming the personality of students - the future owners of the country.

Through this tournament, the Ministry of Education and Training also requested the Departments of Education and Training and schools to continue to pay more attention and invest in the school sports movement, discover and nurture sports talents, build a comprehensive, healthy, dynamic educational environment, meeting the requirements of developing high-quality human resources in the new era.
