Nearly 1,500 bare feet "awaken" Da Nang's summer

This is a unique sports and tourism event, within the framework of the Enjoy Danang Festival 2025, jointly organized by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Da Nang City, Da Nang Tourism Association, Da Nang Hotel Association and Ariyana Danang International Convention Palace.

This year’s event takes place on a 4km running route along the picturesque beach, starting and ending at the Ariyana Danang International Convention Center, providing an inspiring nature-connected experience for all participants from professional athletes to locals, students and international visitors.

More than just a race, “Barefoot Beach Run 2025” has gradually become an inspirational symbol for an active, healthy lifestyle and community engagement.

From families with young children, groups of young friends, to professional groups… everyone walked together on the white sand, shared positive energy, contributing to creating a memorable summer in the coastal city of Da Nang.

Mr. Nguyen Duc Quynh - Vice President of Da Nang Tourism Association, President of Da Nang Hotel Association said that this year's event witnessed the participation of a large number of domestic and foreign tourists, creating unforgettable experiences and helping to leave a deep impression of the beautiful coastal city in the hearts of tourists.

Many families with young children and groups of young people also choose the race as an opportunity to connect spiritually, share positive energy and enjoy a meaningful vacation.

“We are delighted that the Barefoot Beach Run has become an annual event, not only for the local community but also for domestic and international tourists. We have seen the number of participants grow steadily over the seasons - a clear demonstration of the appeal of the community sports model combined with tourism,” said Mr. Quynh.

According to Mr. Quynh, the strong spread of the race comes from the spirit of solidarity of the people, the thorough preparation of the Organizing Committee and especially the open and vibrant atmosphere that Da Nang brings.

“We believe that events like this are the way for us to build Da Nang into not only an attractive tourist destination, but also a healthy and connected city - in line with the sustainable development orientation of the city's tourism industry,” Mr. Quynh shared.

With nearly 1,500 participants, the “Barefoot Beach Run 2025” not only affirms its position as one of the most typical sports and tourism events of Da Nang, but also contributes to strongly spreading the message of “training for health, connecting the community, spreading the image of a livable coastal city” to domestic and international friends.

Ms. Truong Thi Lan Huong, Executive Director of Ariyana Danang International Convention Center, shared that the unit always aims to organize cultural, sports and tourism events of regional scale. With this year's race, we not only focus on professional organization but also create an inspiring space - where each participant feels the connection between nature, health and positive spirit.

“We are committed to continuing to maintain and enhance the race in 2026, with many new improvements, so that the event will increasingly become a unique summer symbol of Da Nang on the national tourism map,” said Ms. Huong.
