"Thailand and Vietnam produced a spectacular five-set clash ahead of the World Volleyball Championship," the Volleyball World website operated by FIVB highlighted the SEA V.League (Southeast Asian women's volleyball championship) championship of the Vietnamese women's volleyball team.

In an article on its homepage, FIVB listed both matches between Vietnam and Thailand in the first and second stages of the SEA V.League. Those were matches that lasted 5 intense sets.
In the first leg, Thailand was the winning team and main striker Pimpichaya Kokram won the title of the best player of the match. Then in the second leg, despite being 2 sets behind Thailand, Vietnam still came back to defeat their opponent with a final score of 3-2.
Notably, in the second leg at Ninh Binh Stadium, opposite Nguyen Thi Bich Tuyen won the title of best player of the match when she scored 45 points after 5 sets.
"The match was very dramatic, especially in the deciding game. The home team came back from two sets down and in extra time of the tie-break, they won a resounding 3-2 (17-25, 24-26, 25-17, 25-22, 16-14) victory over Thailand, thereby winning the championship for the first time in the history of the SEA V-League.
This time, 25-year-old Vietnamese spiker Nguyen Thi Bich Tuyen was chosen as the best player of the match and was included in the best squad of the tournament, along with setter Pornpun Guedpard (Thailand), spikers Chatchu-On Moksri (Thailand) and Vi Thi Nhu Quynh (Vietnam), middle blockers Tran Thi Bich Thuy (Vietnam) and Wimonrat Thanapan (Thailand), and libero Ylizyeth Justine Jazareno (Philippines)," Volleyball World emphasized.
Also according to the FIVB announcement, Thailand will host the 2025 Volleyball World Championship from August 25 to September 7. This year's most prestigious volleyball event will be co-hosted by the cities of Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Nakhon Ratchasima and Phuket in Thailand.
The home team will be in Group A, competing with Egypt, Sweden and the Netherlands in Bangkok. Meanwhile, the Vietnamese volleyball team will travel to Phuket to compete in Group D with Poland, Germany and Kenya.
