EVN requests to review the responsibility of many units for causing power shortages.

According to information from EVN, on June 20, Mr. Tran Dinh Nhan signed a document sent to the National Power System Control Center (A0), companies, factories under EVN and a number of related units to review collective and individual responsibilities for causing the power shortage.

EVN requires a series of units to review collective and individual responsibilities for causing power shortages.

This document was issued by EVN to implement the direction of the State Capital Management Committee at Enterprises. Previously, on June 19, the State Capital Management Committee at Enterprises issued a document on personnel work at EVN, in which it requested to review individual and collective responsibilities for problems in regulating and supplying electricity.

Specifically, in EVN's document, EVN's General Director requested A0 to review collective and individual responsibilities related to calculating and forecasting demand; mobilizing generators; regulating, dispatching, and operating the power system; and operating the electricity market.

The Electricity Trading Company reviews the collective and individual responsibilities related to the negotiation and signing of electricity purchase and sale contracts; supervises the implementation of contracts and payment of electricity bills.

Power Project Management Board 1, 2, 3 reviews collective and individual responsibilities related to investment in construction of power source and grid projects.

EVN Repair Service Center and EVN's affiliated companies and power plants review collective and individual responsibilities related to the management and optimal operation of generators; reporting and proposing mechanisms for mobilizing generators; compliance with operating procedures; repair and maintenance work, etc.

The departments: Planning, Investment, Investment Management, Business, Construction Management, Power Transmission... review the collective and individual responsibilities related to planning; demand forecasting, power system operation plan, electricity market; fuel assurance; construction investment, procurement, payment; electricity regulation, supply, electricity saving...

Mr. Tran Dinh Nhan also requested that today, June 21, the above units must have a report on the review results.

Currently, EVN and related units are still being inspected by the specialized inspection team of the Ministry of Industry and Trade regarding the implementation of legal regulations on electricity management and supply during the period from January 1, 2021 to June 1, 2023. The inspection team started working from June 10, for a period of 30 days, including holidays.

Previously, on June 14, the General Director of EVN also decided to suspend the position of Director A0 for Mr. Nguyen Duc Ninh to serve the specialized inspection of the Ministry of Industry and Trade in the management and operation of electricity supply. On June 15, EVN decided to temporarily assign Mr. Vu Xuan Khu, Deputy Director (A0), to perform the duties of Director A0 in place of Mr. Nguyen Duc Ninh.
