Railways launch many discount programs for group travelers

The Railway Transport Joint Stock Company said it is applying many programs to reduce group ticket prices for passenger trains on various routes.


Accordingly, for the Hanoi - Ho Chi Minh City route, groups of 11-40 people who buy tickets 10-19 days in advance will receive a 4% discount on ticket prices; groups of 20 days or more will receive a 6% discount. Groups of 41-70 people will receive a 6% and 8% discount, respectively; groups of 71-100 people will receive a 8% and 10% discount, respectively; groups of 101 people or more will receive a 10% and 12% discount.

Hanoi - Hai Phong route, groups of 11-41 people get a 9% discount on ticket prices; groups of 42-70 people get an 11% discount; groups of 71-100 people get a 13% discount; groups of 100 people or more get a 15% discount. To get a discount, groups need to buy tickets 24 hours before the train departs.

Hanoi - Lao Cai route, groups of 11-28 people get 5% discount on train tickets SP1, SP3 Hanoi - Lao Cai ; 11% discount on trains SP2, SP4, SP10 Lao Cai - Hanoi.

Groups of 29-56 people buying tickets will receive discounts of 7% and 13% respectively; groups of 56 people or more will receive discounts of 9% and 15% respectively.

Currently, between Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, the railway operates daily trains: SE1/SE2, SE3/SE4, SE5/SE6, SE7/SE8. Between Hanoi and Vinh, trains NA1/NA2 run daily; between Hanoi and Da Nang, trains SE19/SE20 run daily.

Between Ho Chi Minh City - Da Nang, the pair of trains SE21/SE22 run daily; between Ho Chi Minh City - Nha Trang, the pair of trains SNT1/SNT2 run daily; between Ho Chi Minh City - Phan Thiet, the pair of trains SPT1/SPT2 run on weekends on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays; between Ho Chi Minh City - Quy Nhon, the SE30 train departs from Saigon station every Friday, the SE29 train departs from Quy Nhon station every Sunday.

Between Hue - Da Nang, there are 2 pairs of trains running daily connecting heritage routes HD1/HD2, HD3/HD4.

Between Hanoi - Hai Phong there are train pairs: HP1/HP2, LP5/LP6, LP2/3, LP7/LP8.

Between Hanoi - Lao Cai, currently the SP3 train runs regularly, departing from Hanoi station at 22:00 and arriving at Lao Cai station at 5:55; the SP7 train departs at 22:40 and arrives at 6:25. In the opposite direction, the SP4 train departs from Lao Cai station at 9:30 and arrives at Hanoi station at 5:35; the SP8 train departs at 12:05 and arrives at 19:37.

In addition, the railway still maintains a ticket discount policy for social policy beneficiaries: Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, war invalids, seriously ill soldiers, people with disabilities, children, students, union members, etc.
