The longest apricot blossom road in Vietnam with 1,157 apricot trees in Ba Ria - Vung Tau province has been granted a record certificate by the Vietnam Record Institute.

Việt Nam•03/07/2024On July 3, the People's Committee of Chau Duc district (Ba Ria - Vung Tau province) said it had just received a notice from the Vietnam Records Institute confirming its agreement to grant a Vietnam Record certificate for the longest yellow apricot blossom road in Vietnam.
This is a mai flower route that Chau Duc District People's Committee has organized to plant since 2017. Up to now, there have been 1,157 mai trees growing well on the 6.4km long route in Ngai Giao town, Chau Duc district.

Every Tet holiday, this road is filled with yellow flowers and over the years has created its own unique feature, delighting many tourists and locals.
Initially, Chau Duc district allowed the relevant units to experimentally plant more than 100 apricot trees in the median strip. After that, these apricot trees grew and created a positive effect on the hearts of people and tourists, so they were widely planted on some main roads in Ngai Giao town.

The apricot trees were carefully selected based on the criteria of being healthy, having a beautiful shape, with an average age of 8 to 10 years, a height of 1.4m to 2m, and planted about 4-6m apart. Some trees were donated from trees that had been used by the people, then given to a company to take care of and prune, ensuring that in time for Tet, the trees would bloom yellow flowers all over the road.
