There will be many emotional and beautiful moments in the political and artistic program “Under the Glorious Flag,” taking place simultaneously at Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum ( Hanoi ), Hue Flag Tower (Hue) and Creative Park (Ho Chi Minh City) on the evening of August 9.
The program was organized by the Central Military Commission, the Army Radio and Television Center and many other units, to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and the 80th anniversary of National Day.
At the press conference on the morning of August 1 in Hanoi, the organizers said there will be a total of more than 9 directors. Each end of the bridge will have its own highlights or “key moments”, to create its own mark and connect the parts together.

With a spectacular combination, the moments are promised by the crew to be “absolutely cinematic.” Some of them include the solemn and sacred changing of the guard at Ba Dinh Square, the cannon firing at the Hue Flag Tower, or the endless stage at the Ho Chi Minh City bridgehead.
The organizers said that the cannon shooting will be performed by the show's actors, and will be directed by Duong Quang Minh. The director said that he has consulted experts to learn from experience and fix some problems such as the cannons being fired too far...
With the program “Under the Glorious Flag,” director Duong Quang Minh said the shooting was only to capture the muzzle flash effect. “The program was very invested, from the preliminary rehearsal to the final rehearsal, all the shooting was real, and only when it was deemed safe did it officially air.”

The Hanoi side has the familiar changing of the guard at the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum. However, the program also metaphorically represents the changing of the guard between soldiers in wartime and soldiers in peacetime. Scriptwriter Do Ngoc Hoa shared that the intention of the changing of the guard between soldiers in peacetime also carries the meaning of great faith in Uncle Ho's ideals.
After the changing of the guard, the song “We Watch Your Sleep” will be played right in front of the Mausoleum. The female screenwriter hopes to bring special emotions to all the audience of the program.
At the Ho Chi Minh City end of the bridge, the stage was designed to make the city an infinite backdrop. General director Pham Thanh Nam, who is also in charge of this end of the bridge, said the design symbolizes the aspirations of the nation in the era of national development.
He said the three bridges of Hanoi, Hue and Ho Chi Minh City represent three distinct nuances. Hanoi is as majestic as a symphony, Hue has traditional folk sounds, and Ho Chi Minh City is modern, incorporating many modern artistic materials.

Colonel Nguyen Van Hoan, Deputy Director of the Military Radio and Television Center, shared that organizing the event at the same time would be like three regions beating together, carrying the sound from peace to war, with the same belief under the glorious flag.
Many artists such as People's Artist Ta Minh Tam, Vu Thang Loi, Quang Linh, Oplus Band... and even younger faces with musical material such as Suboi, singer Kieu Anh, and band Vortexx also appeared on the show.
It is expected that more than 10,000 delegates will attend, including leaders of the Party and State, ministries, armed forces, veterans, heroic Vietnamese mothers, people with meritorious services, etc.
In addition to Vietnam National Defense Television, the program "Under the Glorious Flag" will also be broadcast live on Vietnam Television at 8:10 p.m. on August 9./.
