Impressions of the highland market
For over a month now, every Saturday and Sunday morning, at the Leaf Village & Farm tourist area - Lang La (Nam My village, old Hoa Bac commune, now Hai Van ward), the "Highland Market" has taken place.
Ms. Le Thi Thong (residing in Nam My village) is one of the first households to participate in selling goods at the highland market.
Every day, she buys fruits, vegetables, and local specialties produced by the Co Tu people, then brings them to sell at the market. Each season has its own products, her stall makes a strong impression on visitors with its rustic, familiar local products.
“Since the highland market was established, I have purchased more agricultural products and vegetables from the Co Tu people to serve tourists. Thanks to that, it has partly solved the output of local agricultural products, helping people increase their income and continue to maintain sustainable agricultural production,” Ms. Thong shared.

Experiential travel
In early August 2025, within the framework of the 7th Ngoc Linh Ginseng Festival in 2025, the People's Committee of Tra Tap commune launched an experiential tour called "Legend of Ngoc Linh ginseng".

The tour lasts two days and one night, visitors can experience climbing the forest, entering the ginseng garden, taking care of and harvesting Ngoc Linh ginseng with the locals. Visitors can enjoy traditional local dishes and ginseng dishes and drinks; have cultural exchanges with the Ca Dong and Xo Dang people; set up tents at night to sleep in the middle of the forest and listen to the village elders and chiefs tell stories about the "Legend of Ngoc Linh ginseng" that has been preserved for many generations.
According to the Chairman of Tra Tap Commune People's Committee, Le Trung Thuc, taking advantage of the climate, soil, local products, especially the "national treasure" Ngoc Linh ginseng bestowed by nature to build a tour to experience "Legend of Ngoc Linh ginseng" is a sustainable direction for indigenous tourism, contributing to preserving and promoting the local identity values.
“The locality’s goal is to develop community tourism, so the people are the main subjects. The local government is promoting the development of a master plan for tourism development in Tra Tap commune and neighboring communes. At the same time, it is mobilizing people to participate with the government, creating a sustainable ecosystem to develop community tourism,” said Mr. Thuc.

On Cu Lao Cham Island (Tan Hiep Commune), taking advantage of its biodiversity, pristine natural landscape and unique cultural and historical values, the local government and people are promoting the development of community tourism.
Accordingly, many tours to experience swimming in the sea, diving to see corals, visiting historical sites; picnicking and camping on the beach; making traditional cakes with locals... attract a large number of tourists.
Chairwoman of Tan Hiep Commune People's Committee Pham Thi My Huong said that the whole commune has more than 2,600 people with more than 80% of households living on tourism. Every day, Cu Lao Cham attracts an average of 3,000 visitors, bringing in a large source of income for the locality.
The government and people of Cu Lao Cham have determined the goal of continuing to preserve biodiversity in conjunction with environmental protection, as a lever to develop tourism and improve people's lives.
