Average income per capita reached 64.4 million VND, an increase of more than 21 million VND compared to 2023.

In particular, in the tourism - service - trade sector. 2024 witnessed a strong growth in the number of visitors and accommodation with about 4.426 million visitors to Hoi An, an increase of 6.58% over the same period (international visitors are estimated at 3.574 million, an increase of 11.43% over the same period).

The total number of visitors buying tickets reached over 3.565 million, up 5.04% over the same period. The total number of visitors staying was estimated at 1.87 million, exceeding the plan by 3.46% and increasing by 18.64% over the same period (international visitors were estimated at 1.63 million), the average number of visitors staying was 2.14 days. Room occupancy rate reached 46.85%. Total revenue of the entire tourism industry was estimated at over VND5,231 billion, up 24.38% over the same period.

According to Mr. Nguyen Van Son - Chairman of Hoi An City People's Committee, to achieve the above achievements, in addition to macro factors such as favorable visa policies, promoted tourism promotion programs; many prestigious tourism titles and awards presented to Hoi An by international organizations..., the city's strong leadership has played an important role, especially in providing orientations and policies to remove difficulties and obstacles for the tourism and service industry.

In 2024, a number of new tourism products were formed such as the project "Developing community tourism associated with preserving indigenous cultural values and natural ecosystems in Kim Bong carpentry village (Cam Kim); opening of Kim Bong carpentry village tour guide activities; organic farming tour associated with indigenous medicinal plants; upgrading the scale of Cam Nam Sticky Corn Festival, Going to the Field Festival (Cam Chau ward); building a green tour route to Cu Lao Cham, Tra Que Vegetable Village and Thanh Ha Pottery Village...

In particular, the organization of the art performance program in the field - the play Straw has created a promotional effect, suggesting many directions for building and developing unique cultural - tourism products of Hoi An.
