This change is said to make room for a larger battery, a large 1/1.14-inch main camera sensor, and a periscope telephoto lens, promising impressive photo and video capture experiences, especially the ability to shoot spatial videos similar to the Apple Vision Pro mixed reality glasses.

However, this information has not been confirmed by Apple and there are differences between sources. While some believe that the iPhone 16 and 16 Plus will be the same size as their predecessors, others predict that the size will be 2mm smaller.

These size changes, if confirmed, will mark a new step for Apple in iPhone design, aiming to optimize internal space to bring better features and experiences to users.
