Closely following the economic development programs and plans of the province and the district, right from the beginning of the term, the Party Committee and the government of Huong Non commune have focused on leading, directing, and exploiting all potentials and strengths of the locality to develop the economy and increase people's income. Accordingly, the commune has focused on exploiting investment resources to develop rural traffic infrastructure, focusing on increasing the proportion of main roads and intra-field canals that are hardened to nearly 60%, meeting the production and transportation requirements of goods and agricultural products of the people.

To facilitate capital for production and business, the commune government and socio -political organizations actively coordinate with banks and credit funds in the area to support households in need of loans to build profiles and develop feasible production plans to access preferential loan packages. Along with that, the commune promotes land consolidation and accumulation, creating all conditions for people to develop large-scale, concentrated, commodity-oriented production. Coordinate with specialized agencies and units to regularly organize training courses on cultivation and livestock techniques and build economic models suitable for the locality for people to apply to their family's actual production. At the same time, the commune government coordinates with functional units to effectively implement production service stages such as irrigation, seed supply, fertilizer supplies, plant protection, and production protection; Closely follow the annual and seasonal food crop production plan, ensuring targets on area, productivity and output.

Identifying the main source of income for people is agricultural production, to improve income, the commune takes advantage of the State's support resources to carry out economic restructuring, develop agricultural production towards commodities, mobilize people to bring high-quality plant and animal varieties into production, actively apply scientific and technical advances, invest in intensive farming to increase productivity, value, and economic efficiency. Along with that, encourage households to participate in the OCOP program, opening up a new direction in agricultural production in the locality. In livestock farming, the commune mobilizes people to regularly re-herd and expand livestock farming models; develop more groups of households raising livestock and poultry in the locality. The commune currently has 2 comprehensive farms combining cultivation, livestock, poultry and aquaculture; many households have invested in developing cow herds, increasing the number of pigs and poultry according to the small and medium-sized farm model; there are 2 cooperatives that have effectively developed for high income, namely Manh Lien Clean Vegetable and Fruit Cooperative and Truong Xuan Poultry Breeding Cooperative. The total value obtained from agricultural - forestry - fishery production of the commune reaches about 80 billion VND/year.

Along with focusing on developing agricultural production, the locality always prioritizes the development of industry, handicrafts, and construction. The commune focuses on leading and encouraging households to invest in developing handicrafts; promoting the production of products to serve consumer needs and economic development needs such as wooden furniture, construction materials, mechanics, garments, handicrafts making beans, cakes, vermicelli... and promoting and expanding construction worker groups to create jobs for local workers, contributing to increasing income and gradually reducing dependence on cultivation and agriculture.
