Rename Social Insurance Region XXVIII to Social Insurance of Dong Nai province

(DN)- Vietnam Social Security (VSS) has just issued Official Dispatch No. 1521/BHXH-TCCB on implementing regulations on functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of Vietnam Social Security.

According to this document, 34 previous regional social insurance agencies will be renamed to provinces and cities for easy identification, convenience for people and agencies when contacting for work as well as ensuring systematicity and convenience in updating and managing data to serve the performance of tasks.

In particular, the Social Insurance of Region XXVIII will be renamed to Dong Nai Provincial Social Insurance, with its headquarters located in Dong Nai Province. The 20 previous district and city-level Social Insurances of Dong Nai Province will also be renamed to grassroots Social Insurance, with their management areas divided according to commune-level administrative units. The grassroots Social Insurances will be arranged before September 30, 2025.

Vietnam Social Security requests the director of provincial Social Security to assign the subordinate units to implement social insurance and health insurance policies, manage revenue and expenditure in communes, wards and special zones; report data on natural area, population and expected number of participants, revenue and expenditure in the management area.

Provincial Social Insurance is responsible for unifying the leadership and Party Committee to arrange and restructure officials and employees in functional departments to meet the work requirements, and report back to Vietnam Social Insurance for consideration and approval. For groups that do not hold management positions and employees in functional departments, they will be transferred to the grassroots level to perform assigned tasks.
