Speaking at the opening ceremony, Ms. Le Thi Thuy Sen, Party Secretary and Editor-in-Chief of Banking Times, shared that the special event was organized in the joyful and excited atmosphere of the whole country celebrating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day, September 2.
Sharing about the theme of the event, Ms. Le Thi Thuy Sen also said: Who are we? In a word, who are we, not AI.
“We are not robots. However, we apply and utilize AI and technology to make newspapers, to implement the digital transformation policy of the banking industry, the digital transformation policy of the press, contributing to the implementation of Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW dated December 22, 2024 of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation; Resolution 59-NQ/TW dated January 24, 2025 of the Politburo on "International integration in the new situation". All of our current content and journalism processes strongly apply AI technology to bring value to readers and better perform assigned tasks", the Editor-in-Chief of Banking Times emphasized.

Speaking at the event, Governor of the State Bank Nguyen Thi Hong stated: The anniversary is not only an occasion to look back on the past and honor traditions, but also a moment to affirm faith, aspiration and responsibility on a new journey.
The Governor of the State Bank assessed that after more than 70 years of development and growth, the banking press has continuously developed in scale, quality, and operation methods and has made many practical contributions. The press has accompanied the development steps of the Vietnamese banking system in particular and the country in general.
Implementing Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW on continuing to innovate and reorganize the political system to operate more effectively and efficiently of the Politburo , since the beginning of this year, press agencies in the industry have agreed to make Banking Times the sole mouthpiece of the State Bank.
“This is the right step in line with the Party and State's policies, creating conditions for concentrating resources, improving professionalism, unifying voices and increasing effectiveness in communication work,” said Governor Nguyen Thi Hong.
From there, the Governor also emphasized the need for Banking Times to have a new identity that is both agile and close to economic and social life, both steadfast in academia, both inspiring and spreading knowledge and keeping up with new trends of the times.
“The Standing Committee of the Party Committee and the Board of Directors of the State Bank expect and require the Banking Times to continue to maintain its political stance, Party spirit, and humanity, to be loyal to the Party and State's guidelines, and to truly reflect the cause of innovation and development of the country in general and the banking sector in particular,” Governor Nguyen Thi Hong emphasized.
At the same time, the Governor requested that Banking Times continue to innovate, be creative, grasp modern media trends and strongly apply digital technology to bring information to readers faster, more diversely, more vividly and contribute to being an effective transmission channel of monetary policy and banking operations management.
In addition, strongly promote academic research, continue to have more in-depth scientific articles to contribute to the development of monetary policy management planning on banking practices, especially in the new context and situation. Spread confidence and inspiration so that each newspaper page, each research project, each electronic newsletter becomes a bridge to awaken new inspiration and motivation for the entire industry.

At the event, Decision No. 2723/QD-NHNN dated July 9, 2025 of the Governor of the State Bank on the consolidation of the Editorial Board of Banking Magazine was announced, accordingly, the Editorial Board of Banking Magazine consists of 20 members.
In particular, at the Event, Banking Times was honored to receive a Certificate of Merit from the Governor of the State Bank for its outstanding achievements in communicating policies, guidelines, and major Resolutions of the Party and State.
In addition, the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission also issued a decision to award a certificate of merit to the Banking Times Collective for its outstanding achievements in information and propaganda work; the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism also signed Decision No. 3060/QD-BVHTTDL to award a certificate of merit to the Banking Times under the State Bank of Vietnam for its achievements in information and communication work contributing to the field of revolutionary journalism in Vietnam in the period 2020-2024.
At the same time, Banking Times launched the new interface of the State Bank's Electronic Information Portal.
