Few people imagine that a tiny creature like a tapeworm can grow up to several meters long inside the human body.

At the Parasitology Museum, belonging to the Central Institute of Malaria - Parasitology - Entomology, a tapeworm sample over 12m long taken from a real case is currently being preserved and displayed.

This is just one of nearly 400 specimens at the museum, including many important medical parasites such as roundworms, trematodes, etc. The specimens are preserved in specialized conditions, accompanied by microscopic images and detailed scientific explanations of the life cycle and disease mechanism.
