80 stamp pages in the set of communication stamps - past and present are currently being displayed by Lam Dong Stamp Association at the Press Festival and Exhibition to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Vietnam's revolutionary press (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2025) and 77 years of Lam Dong provincial press.

Mr. Le Van Muu - Vice President of Lam Dong Stamp Association said, the stamp set of 5 stamp frames with 80 pages is about the development of international and Vietnamese press. This is a big topic, communication in the past and present, from the early days, the letters in physical form were kept since 1841, still wrapped in paper, without envelopes like today.

Through each stamp, not only does it purely authenticate the physical conditions to ensure the task of transporting letters to the recipient, but the stamp also carries cultural and historical significance, tracing the development of humanity.

Mr. Le Van Muu has been collecting stamps for nearly 50 years and currently owns a "fortune" that many people dream of, with many rare stamp sets of up to about 10,000 stamps of all kinds... He said that he and many members of the Lam Dong Stamp Association have a passion for collecting stamps on political topics, anniversaries, and important events of the country...

Mr. Le Muu said that each stamp has its own story and history. Especially stamps from the old days, when letters were the main means of communication in the human world , when postmen carried letters on foot, going through hardships to travel hundreds, thousands of kilometers to deliver a letter to the recipient. “Those letters are priceless, marking the development of the communication industry. The stamp is small but opens up a very large sky,” Mr. Le Muu shared.

In particular, this is one of 27 collections of stamp associations in Vietnam displayed at the "5-Country Stamp Exhibition - Vietnam 2024" with the theme "Moving Forward Together" held in October 2024 in Hanoi and won the Silver Bronze prize.

Lam Dong Stamp Association now has about 30 members who are passionate about collecting stamps. However, with the development of society, handwritten letters and stamps are no longer known by many people. However, Mr. Le Muu and the members of Lam Dong Stamp Association still want to promote stamp images more widely, as a way to preserve precious values from ancient times.
