In 2025, the world economy will recover, consumer demand and investment will increase, leading to an increase in the demand for imported goods from Vietnam. At the same time, new-generation free trade agreements such as CPTPP, EVFTA, RCEP... will continue to be implemented, opening up many opportunities to access new markets and reduce tariffs for Vietnam's export goods.

Accompanying local export enterprises, the Department of Industry and Trade of Ha Tinh has monitored the production and business activities of enterprises to grasp difficulties and obstacles, and advised the Provincial People's Committee to deploy support solutions and remove difficulties. At the same time, coordinate and advise to accelerate the progress of processing and export projects to ensure progress; strengthen trade promotion activities, forecast, provide market information, export partners, and expand investment opportunities for export enterprises.
Open policies and internal solutions from businesses have created momentum for Ha Tinh export enterprises to increase contracts, expecting to earn a lot of foreign currency in the second half of 2025. Export items continue to record many improvements such as: fibers, packaging, garments, tea, seafood, wood chips, etc.
Overcoming the difficulties of the post-global economic recession period, from 2024, the operations of Song La Xanh Packaging Joint Stock Company (Duc Tho Industrial Park) have improved. Especially in 2025, the company continuously "closed" orders from the Philippines, Laos, Japan, Korea, Thailand, etc.
Mr. Nguyen Van Son - Chairman of the Trade Union of Song La Xanh Packaging Joint Stock Company said: “The market is wide open, the demand for goods is high, so in addition to the fixed factory at Duc Tho Industrial Park, the company will build another factory in Huong Son commune. In 2025, the company and its employees are excited because they “can’t finish the work”. In addition to the 450 employees currently working, the company needs to recruit 60 employees to meet the production line, striving to soon achieve a revenue of 250 billion VND. This solid foundation creates momentum for the unit’s production and business plan in the following years and contributes to affirming the quality and position of Ha Tinh packaging products in the world market”.

Fiber is a “big winner” sector in the past year when export orders increased. In addition to traditional partners, fiber exporting enterprises also signed new orders on the basis of market diversification and increased foreign currency revenue. In the first 7 months of 2025, the export turnover of various types of fibers and textile yarns reached about 7.99 million USD, an increase of 102.28% over the same period in 2024.
Vinatex Hong Linh Joint Stock Company (Nam Hong Industrial Park) is a unit specializing in the production and export of yarn. In 2023, the unit suffered losses due to the impact of military war, the impact of the global economic recession, causing the price of imported raw materials to increase, production costs to increase... However, from mid-2024 until now, the production and business situation has improved. With the policy of diversifying export markets, in addition to the main partners of Japan and Korea, the company negotiated and signed consumption contracts with new enterprises in Thailand, Egypt, Bangladesh... Since the beginning of the year, the enterprise has produced and consumed about 4,200 tons of yarn and is focusing on signed orders until the end of 2025 with an output of about 600 tons of yarn/month.

As the leading exporter of Ha Tinh, in recent times, Hung Nghiep Formosa Ha Tinh Iron and Steel Company Limited (FHS) has been affected by tariffs and steel protection policies from countries around the world. In the first 7 months of 2025, FHS's steel and steel billet export turnover reached about 795.62 million USD, down 31.16% compared to the same period in 2024.
However, in the second half of 2025, FHS's export situation recorded positive signs from the market, especially the tariff policy from the US. On July 2, 2025, after a phone call between General Secretary To Lam and President Donald Trump, the two countries Vietnam and the United States reached an agreement on reciprocal taxes. Specifically, goods from Vietnam entering the US will be subject to a 20% tariff, instead of the 46% tax rate as previously announced (April 2025). This is an advantage for FHS to continue to increase export output to the US market. In parallel with the US, FHS continues its negotiation strategy to increase export output to other markets.
In general, new-generation free trade agreements (FTAs) such as CPTPP, EVFTA, RCEP... continue to be implemented, opening up many opportunities to access new markets and reduce tariffs for Ha Tinh's export goods. In the first 7 months of 2025, the province's total export turnover reached about 958.96 million USD, reaching 38.4% of the yearly plan. Ha Tinh's products are present in 20 markets; including some key countries such as: India (export turnover of 170.15 million USD), ASEAN 81.40 million USD, China 33.71 million USD, Japan 5.3 million USD...
Mr. Vo Ta Nghia - Deputy Director of Ha Tinh Department of Industry and Trade said: Currently, Vietnam has completed the signing and implementation of 17 bilateral and multilateral free trade agreements (FTAs), Ha Tinh enterprises have applied for certificates of origin of goods, taking advantage of incentives from 13 free trade agreements with major partners such as: ASEAN, Japan, Korea, China..., export turnover from FTAs accounts for more than 50% of the total export turnover of the whole province.
The province's export target for 2025 is 2,500 million USD. In the coming time, the Department of Industry and Trade will advise the Provincial People's Committee to submit to the Provincial People's Council a policy on logistics and export development for the 2026-2030 period; continue to implement plans and policies to promote export activities associated with logistics service development such as: Ha Tinh Provincial Planning for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2050; policies to support the development of logistics and export services for the 2024-2025 period; policies to support the development of industry and handicrafts in Ha Tinh province until 2025... At the same time, coordinate with relevant ministries to select and invite reputable domestic enterprises to participate in surveys and sign export contracts with some key products of the province; participate in trade promotion programs to promote exports to foreign markets...

According to Mr. Vo Ta Nghia, in the second half of 2025, Vietnamese export enterprises in general and Ha Tinh in particular will have many opportunities for growth, but they also need to prepare carefully to overcome challenges. Enterprises need to continue to improve their competitiveness, invest in technology, improve product quality associated with brand development, meet international standards, especially environmental and sustainability standards to participate more deeply in the global supply chain and export high value-added products. At the same time, it is necessary to diversify markets, seek and exploit new export markets; continuously update information and knowledge about markets, policies and regulations related to exports to proactively adapt.
