In the sacred space of Hoan Kiem Lake - a place associated with a thousand years of history of Thang Long - Hanoi, the sound of the brass trumpet resounds loudly and emotionally.

The students performed many special pieces: from heroic revolutionary songs as a tribute to the past, familiar traditional and folk melodies, to youthful, modern, energetic works.

Those melodies not only spread to thousands of spectators present, but also contributed to creating an exciting, proud and close atmosphere.

For Vo Thanh Trang and his students, performing at Hoan Kiem Lake, right next to the statue of King Ly Thai To, is a priceless memory.

This is the first time 100 students from Ho Chi Minh City aged 11-15 have had the opportunity to stand on a large outdoor stage right in the center of the capital, performing live for a large crowd of people and international tourists.

Music at this time is not only art, but also a remembrance and gratitude for the generations of fathers and brothers who sacrificed for national independence; at the same time, it is a reminder to today's young generation about the responsibility to preserve and promote tradition.

The enthusiastic cheers of the public added strength, making each trumpet sound more bustling and emotional than ever.

According to teacher Nguyen Minh Hoang, Vo Thanh Trang Secondary School, this trip to the North brought many valuable experiences to the teachers and students of the school's Student Brass Band, and the performance at Hoan Kiem Lake was one of the most profound impressions.

“The students not only get to show off their artistic talents but also get to live in the sacred atmosphere of a thousand-year-old Hanoi, right on the occasion of the whole country celebrating National Day. It is a blend of school art and community culture, between today’s youth and the flow of national history,” said Mr. Hoang.
