The Independent Starlight art program celebrates the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2, produced by the Organizing Committee for Celebrating Major Holidays of Ho Chi Minh City in coordination with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ho Chi Minh City and Ho Chi Minh City Television (director: Tran Vi My).

Independence Star is not only a commemorative art program, but also a tribute to previous generations, an opportunity for people to look back on the 80-year journey of national resilience and pride and place their faith in the future.

In addition, the program also has a topical significance when Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong, Ba Ria - Vung Tau officially become a regional megacity. The people's resilient struggle is recreated through Under the Red Flag; the medley August 19 - August Flag... and then on September 2, 1945, At the historic Ba Dinh Square, President Ho Chi Minh read the Declaration of Independence, giving birth to the Democratic Republic of Vietnam. At this moment, Uncle Ho's voice and the song Tien Quan Ca resounded with emotion.

However, the young government immediately had to face countless difficulties: famine, ignorance, internal and external enemies... This journey is recreated through a series of songs such as the musical scene " The Road Forward", the medley "Oh South, We Are Ready" - "Steps on the Truong Son Range" - "The Storm Rises", "The Road We Go"...

The performances in the program are elaborately staged, recreating the time of defending the country of our army and people.

In the triumphal song of the nation, there are still lingering notes. Those are the losses and sacrifices of many patriotic mothers, sisters, daughters and sons across the country. In the program, the moment Meritorious Artist Le Thien recreated the image of a heroic Vietnamese mother on the background of the song Linh Thienh Viet Nam - Dat Nuoc performed by Thanh Ngoc - Ho Trung Dung.
