Over the past 10 years, Economic-Defense Group 915 has focused on improving the quality of military and defense work, building a national defense posture associated with a solid people's security posture. At the same time, the unit has promoted socio-economic development programs in border areas and areas with many difficulties, contributing to improving people's lives and strengthening trust in the Party, State and Army.

The highlight of the unit's activities is mass mobilization and infrastructure construction support. Many essential traffic works have been invested in construction such as: Nam Vinh Te border belt residential road; Nong Truong canal road; road connecting National Highway N1 to Landmark 290; canal road 500 and Thi Van road. The unit also supports the construction of 8 rural bridges, 1 primary school, 1 communal cultural center and medical equipment for local health stations.

In the economic field, the Union has supported tens of thousands of breeding animals (cows, pigs, chickens, fish...) for poor households, creating conditions for production development and increasing income. Notably, after 10 years of implementing the construction of the Long Xuyen Quadrangle Economic-Defense Zone, up to now, all 8/8 communes in the area have been recognized as meeting new rural standards. The local appearance has changed significantly, the poverty rate has decreased sharply from 23.96% (in 2015) to 2.87% (in 2024).

With its outstanding achievements, Economic-Defense Group 915 has been recognized and highly appreciated by Party committees and authorities at all levels. Many outstanding collectives and individuals have been rewarded. In 2022, the unit was awarded the title "Determined to Win Unit"; in 2023, it was honored to receive the Emulation Flag of the Military Region in the Determined to Win emulation movement.
