(BL-NQ) On June 10, 29 typical village elders representing ethnic minorities in Binh Phuoc province visited and exchanged in Bac Lieu to learn from experience.
The delegation led by Mr. Dieu Nen - Director of the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions of Binh Phuoc province, had a working session with the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions of Bac Lieu province and Bac Lieu city. The discussion focused on implementing policies for village elders and prestigious people, thereby promoting the role of village elders and prestigious people in propaganda and mobilization work for ethnic minorities.

After the working session, the Binh Phuoc delegation visited and learned about the production model of the Doan Ket Clean Vegetable Cooperative (Giong Giua Hamlet, Hiep Thanh Commune, Bac Lieu City). Mr. To Thanh Son - Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Cooperative shared that the agricultural sector has granted a code for a clean vegetable growing area (green mustard, sweet mustard, basket mustard and chives) with an area of 30.8 hectares to the Cooperative. In addition to these 4 types of vegetables, the Cooperative also produces a number of other types of vegetables. In 2024, the Cooperative supplied the market with over 450 tons of vegetables, helping members achieve an average income of 6 million VND/month.
On this occasion, the delegation visited some typical tourist attractions of the Mekong Delta in Bac Lieu city.
