As an officer with many years of experience working at the Commune Farmers’ Association, currently assigned to work on the Party, I have noticed that in recent years, the city has always prioritized resources to implement the goal of rural modernization, focusing on investing in modern rural infrastructure. Thereby, the living conditions and quality of life of rural people have been significantly improved.
However, at present, farmers who are attached to agricultural production still face many difficulties and are affected by many risks due to more extreme weather and rapidly fluctuating markets. In many localities, farmers are abandoning their fields or tending to change their industries. Therefore, in the period of 2025 - 2030, I really hope that the Political Report of the City Party Committee will more clearly demonstrate the orientation on mechanisms, policies, support, and create conditions for stable agricultural development so that farmers can feel secure and more attached to their fields.
I think the city needs to continue to have policies to support farmers in transforming their crop and livestock structures towards sustainability. Support the development of smart agricultural production models and high-tech agriculture. Organize regular dialogue forums between city leaders and farmers, creating an open space to reflect on difficulties and propose practical solutions from the grassroots. The city needs to expand production linkage models according to the value chain to help stabilize product consumption. At the same time, consider having a mechanism to support product consumption for farmers when facing natural disasters, epidemics or strong market fluctuations...
