Dinh Bac is the best player in the U23 Southeast Asia tournament.

Nguyen Dinh Bac was honored after his good performance at the 2025 Southeast Asian U23 tournament.

The only goal helped U23 Vietnam win the Southeast Asian Championship. On the evening of July 29, the U23 Vietnam team defeated Indonesia 1-0 in the final of the 2025 Southeast Asian Championship held at Bung Karno Stadium.

In this year's tournament, Dinh Bac scored 2 goals for U23 Vietnam, including 1 goal in the group stage (against U23 Cambodia) and 1 goal in the match against U23 Philippines in the semi-finals. He and Nguyen Hieu Minh are the two players who scored the most goals for U23 Vietnam.

In the final match on the evening of July 29, Dinh Bac was placed in the starting lineup by coach Kim Sang-sik but could not score. However, he was still closely marked by the U23 Indonesian players. The home team highly appreciated Dinh Bac along with players such as Hieu Minh and Khuat Van Khang.

Meanwhile, Otu Abang Banatao of U23 Philippines received the award for Best Young Player of the tournament. Banatao also scored 2 goals similar to Dinh Bac and Hieu Minh.

Muhammad Ardiansyah of Indonesia U23 won the Best Goalkeeper award despite his team losing the final 0-1. In this year's tournament, Indonesia U23 only conceded 2 goals.

The title of top scorer of the tournament belongs to Jens Raven, the star of U23 Indonesia, with 7 goals. Of which, Raven scored 6 goals in the opening match against U23 Brunei. He surpassed the group behind including Hieu Minh, Dinh Bac or Banatao by 5 goals.

Coach Kim Sang-sik's U23 Vietnam team had a successful tournament with an all-win record. This is the third consecutive time Vietnam has won the Southeast Asian U23 tournament, after 2022 and 2023.
