Adjusting the target for completing social housing in 2025 and the following years

On the afternoon of July 25, in Hanoi, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha chaired an online conference on adjusting the assigned targets for completing social housing in 2025 and the following years until 2030, for localities to add to their socio-economic development targets.

Attending the conference at the Tuyen Quang province bridge were leaders of provincial departments and branches.

According to the report of the Ministry of Construction , the results of the implementation of the Project of 1 million social housing apartments nationwide, there are currently 692 social housing projects being implemented with a scale of 633,559 apartments. Of which, 146 projects have been completed, with a scale of 103,717 apartments; 124 projects have started construction, are being implemented with a scale of 111,622 apartments; 422 projects have been approved for investment policy, with a scale of 418,220 apartments. Thus, the number of projects completed, started construction, and approved for investment policy by 2025 reached 59.6% compared to the target set in the Project.

In Tuyen Quang, to complete the social housing target according to the Prime Minister 's Decision, the province is implementing the construction of a social housing area under the Tuyen Quang Urban Housing Development Area project. At the same time, the province continues to implement steps to select investors to implement the social housing project in Minh Xuan ward, expected to meet about 456 units. The Provincial People's Committee has assigned the Department of Construction to review residential and urban area projects that must reserve 20% of land fund for social housing construction to request investors to directly invest in social housing, in order to contribute to completing the social housing target assigned by the Prime Minister .

At the Conference, localities discussed, analyzed the causes, proposed solutions to remove obstacles in administrative procedures, coordination mechanisms between sectors, localities and the issue of disbursement of public investment capital. Strengthen supervision, inspection and urging the implementation of targets, plans and policies related to social housing. Ensure adequate supply of social housing to meet the needs of people, especially low-income earners, workers, civil servants and laborers.

Concluding the conference, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha acknowledged and commended a number of localities for their interest and proactive implementation of projects in their localities. In order to speed up the construction progress according to the set plan, the Deputy Prime Minister requested localities to review the demand data of each locality, and at the same time, it is necessary to arrange land funds for social housing construction, speed up procedures for selecting investors, and expand beneficiaries, in order to create the best conditions for people in need of housing.
