New forest planting area reached over 78% of the yearly plan.

Since the beginning of the year, the whole province has planted over 2,730 hectares of forest, reaching more than 78% of the annual plan (in May alone, over 1,100 hectares were newly planted). Of which, over 389 hectares were planted under the Project on protection and development of production, protection, special-use forests and enhancement of forest fire prevention and fighting capacity in Thai Nguyen province for the period 2021-2025.

Taking advantage of favorable weather, many households in localities in the province are urgently preparing and bringing seedlings to the hills to plant.

Implementing the Project to plant one billion trees in the 2021-2025 period, the whole province has planted over 1.9 million trees (in May alone, over 929 thousand new trees were planted), exceeding the plan by 62%. The total number of supported trees is 349,500 trees (the province's forest protection and development fund supports 130,000 Acacia mangium trees; the Forest Protection Department provides support for 219,500 trees).

From 2021 to present, the whole province has planted over 14.1 million trees, reaching nearly 202% of the plan, including over 6.4 million concentrated trees and nearly 7.7 million scattered trees.

Regarding replacement forestation, the Forestry Department is currently submitting for approval a plan to select contractors to supply seedlings and fertilizers to implement replacement forestation in Dinh Hoa and Vo Nhai districts according to regulations (with a total area of ​​over 156 hectares).
