This morning, July 14, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology announced the admission threshold (floor score) for regular university admission in 2023 using the combined admission method of multiple criteria.
Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology announced the minimum admission score for 2023 with three component scores. Accordingly, with the admission method combining many criteria, the minimum scores for the components are as follows:
The capacity assessment test score organized by Ho Chi Minh City National University is 630/1200 points.
High school graduation exam score is 18 for the total score of 3 subjects calculated according to the admission combination.
The GPA is 18 for the average of the total GPA of 3 subjects according to the admission combination of 3 school years 10,11,12.
Candidates who have taken the 2023 high school graduation exam and achieved the above score threshold will be entitled to apply for admission to the corresponding majors of the school.
The school notes that candidates must achieve a score higher than or equal to the threshold for receiving applications for all three components to be eligible for admission. If candidates do not take the competency assessment exam or graduate from high school, the admissions board will consider using the high school graduation score as a replacement (with a certain percentage) or vice versa.
The above components will account for 90% of the total admission score. The Admissions Council will decide how to convert between academic transcript scores, high school exam scores, and competency assessment scores as well as decide the weight based on the exam score spectrum.
The rest, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology considers the candidates' personal achievements and social activities, literature, sports and fine arts. In which, personal achievements include excellent student awards, science and technology awards, foreign languages, international certificates and other academic awards.
The admission method combines the test scores to assess capacity, high school graduation, academic records, and other capacities (certificates, awards) accounting for 60-90% of the total enrollment target (more than 5,000) of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology. The rest, the school prioritizes admission according to the regulations of Ho Chi Minh City National University, direct admission according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training , admission of candidates with international certificates or foreign candidates (only applicable to advanced English-taught programs), admission of candidates to international transfer programs (Australia, New Zealand).
Candidates need to register their wishes on the Ministry of Education and Training's admission system and add information on the school's information page by 5:00 p.m. on July 30.
In 2022, Admission score = [Converted high school graduation exam score] x 70% + [Converted high school graduation exam score] x 20% + [High school study score] x 10%. In which: Converted high school graduation exam score = [Converted high school graduation exam score] x 90/990; Converted high school graduation exam score = [High school graduation exam score according to registered combination] x 3; High school study score = Total (Summary score of high school study year according to registered combination) for all three years of grades 10, 11, 12. The Computer Science major of this school has the highest admission score of 75.99, the Computer Engineering major is 66.86.
