Concert to commemorate the 24th anniversary of the death of musician Trinh Cong Son

(Dan Tri) - In order to commemorate musician Trinh Cong Son, the Vietnam Contemporary Arts Theater coordinated to organize the music night "Do you still remember or have you forgotten" to commemorate the 24th anniversary of the talented artist's death.

Musician Trinh Cong Son devoted his entire life to music , leaving behind more than 600 songs that have captivated generations of music lovers.

His compositions are not only music, but also poetry and philosophy about love, life and people.

Some say: "For Trinh Cong Son, the desire for love and peace transcends all narrow political prejudices. Those burning desires make his music live forever."

A clear demonstration of the influence of musician Trinh is that in 2019, on the occasion of his 80th birthday (February 28, 1939 - February 28, 2019), Google honored him on the Google Doodles homepage, a special mark as it was the first time a Vietnamese person was honored in this way.

Trinh Cong Son's songs always have a special appeal, not only because of their profound melodies but also because of their poetic and philosophical lyrics. His annual memorial programs always receive great attention from the audience, demonstrating the enduring vitality of Trinh Cong Son's music through many generations.

Not only loved domestically, musician Trinh also has international influence, especially in Japan, France... He is also the first Vietnamese musician to release an album with sales of more than 2 million copies.

Trinh Cong Son's music night Do you still remember or have you forgotten has the participation of many famous artists such as: Saxophonist Tran Manh Tuan, singer Duc Tuan, Bui Lan Huong, Minh Thu, Lo Thuy, Tuan Hiep.

In particular, the music night also featured two young faces who are gaining attention, The Thien (musician Trinh Cong Son's nephew), rapper tlinh, along with the group Thoi Gian, the May dance troupe and the Hy Vong dance troupe. MC Hong Nhung (VTV) and MC Chien Thang hosted the program.

The program is edited by People's Artist Tran Binh and directed by General Director, Meritorious Artist Quynh Trang, Director of the Theater. The music night will take place at 8:00 p.m. on March 29 and 30 at the Hanoi Opera House.
