Proposal to only display fireworks at Hoan Kiem Lake on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital

According to a report sent to the Hanoi People's Committee, the Capital Command believes that in order to focus on overcoming the consequences caused by Typhoon Yagi and join hands to support people in the affected areas, Hanoi should only fire fireworks at one location with two locations in Hoan Kiem district from 9:30 p.m. to 9:45 p.m. on October 10.

The amount of fireworks (both high and low altitude) for the battle in front of the Hanoi Moi newspaper headquarters and the battle in front of the Hanoi Post Office remains the same as planned, 600 each.

Previously, Hanoi issued a plan to organize fireworks displays in all 30 districts to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Capital Liberation Day (October 10, 1954).

Including one high-altitude combined low-altitude and pyrotechnic fireworks display, eight high-altitude combined low-altitude fireworks display sites, and 22 low-altitude fireworks display sites.

Specifically, 1 high-altitude fireworks display combined with low-altitude fireworks with 800 fireworks and 24 pyrotechnic rigs with 480 pyrotechnic tubes at My Dinh National Stadium combined with the F1 racetrack (Phu Do ward, Nam Tu Liem district).

8 high-altitude and low-altitude fireworks displays, each with 600 fireworks in front of the Hanoi Moi Newspaper headquarters and Hanoi Post Office (Hoan Kiem District); Lac Long Quan Flower Garden (Tay Ho District); Coconut Island, Thong Nhat Park, Le Dai Hanh Ward (Hai Ba Trung District); Van Quan Lake, Van Quan Ward (Ha Dong District); Son Tay Ancient Citadel (Son Tay Town); the project land of the regulating lake, Tam Hiep Commune (Thanh Tri District); Dong Anh District Sports and Physical Training Center.

The City People's Committee requires agencies and units to closely coordinate with forces, seriously and specifically implement the plan, organize fireworks displays according to the program and time specified; carefully prepare all aspects of strict command, ensure absolute safety of people and equipment before, during and after fireworks display.

Departments, branches, People's Committees of districts, towns and related units are responsible for implementing this plan to ensure safety.
